Nate's Discovered Talent

These pictures are from this semester's drawing class. These are the drawings that I'm most proud of. The shoe is part of my final project for the class. I'll be posting the other two shoes when I get them finished.

Ward Halloween Party

Joey was horse for a halloween. I have never seen him have so much fun. He loved just running around watching everything and looking at all of the other little kids.

Joey stood and stared at this little girl for like 5 mins and did what he always does when someone has a stucker: sticks out his toungue, I guess expecting a try.

The three of us won a prize for our costumes

Provo Canyon National Park

A few Sunday's ago we took Joey to a park up the canyon so he could run around. He loved it!

One of Joey's favorite toys is his toy bus. He calls it his Vroom vroom. When he pushes it around he says "vroom vroom" and when he sees it he points and says
"vroom vroom." It's a good toy to distract him with. We'll say "joey, where's your vroom vroom and he'll go looking for it.

Lil' pianist

Joey loves to play the piano. He doens't bang on it either, he carefully pushes down the keys one finger at a time. We got some cute pics of him playing the piano at grandpa and grandma Nelson's.

what's happenin'?

HAIR CUTS

Joey got his first hair cut. His hair was so long and full in the back that he had a mullet! It's beena couple weeks since the buzz and yet we will be doing it again, cuz it's already grown out to a mullet again. OYE!

MESSY EATER

When Joey eats he loves to throw things on the floor. It makes keeping the floor clean very hard. He also loves to put his hands all over his face and head, so the first time I gave him some pasta ... well, just look at the pictures

WALKING!!!!

It was a long time ago (I am very lame at keeping this updates) that Joey started walking. This is a video we took when he first got started.

BONK!!!!

So with the walking Joey, of course has his falls. Joey and I were on BYU campus waiting for Nate to get out of class. I took Joey onto the grass so he could walk around. Well, he insisted on walking on the sidewalk, no matter how many times I put him back on the grass, or how far away from the sidewalk we went. While walking on the sidewalk, he fell down and in his attempt to get up, he tripped him self and face-planted into the concrete. He cried good and hard while I held him and all the students walking by looked at me like "can't you get your kid to be quiet?" Well the result showed up a few minutes later on his forehead was a nasty purple bruise. A week later when the bruise was gone, he decided to get one on the other side of his forehead by hitting it again.

Isn't he cute?

I have to say, my baby boy is the cutest baby in the whole world!!!! That's all.

Getting into things

Joey likes to find anythng that is openable and get into it. His favorites are the drawers in the kitchen with the towles and measuring cups and the cuboards under the sinks in the bathroom. For now he's okay, but once he figures out how to open those lotion bottles, then we're in trouble.

Climber

Joey has a recent habit of climing into the bottom shelf in our closet. Sometimes, I'll be in the kitchen and hear him screaming. I'll find him in the closet with his feet on the shelf and him head down in the shoe basket below. He gets stuck trying to get down!

Funsins with the cousins

In July, Ashley came to Utah and spent a couple days with us. Joey had a blast hangin with his cousins. We really don't get to see them much and I loved hangin with ashley. We spent a lot of time at our swimming pool. Morgan wanted to swim for hours!

Luckily, Morgan is a really well behaved girl, so it left room for AJ and Joey to reek havok!

A Paper Cutter Incident

Nate was cutting business cards in the office when he decided he needed a smaller thumb.

Moping and vacuuming

Recently Joey has been such a good little helper. He likes to help me vacuum and mop.

June is a busy month

Birthdays and father's day make june a busy month for us. My birthday was on the 15th (father's day) and Nate's is today! (29th). For my birthday I made manicotti and carrot cake for father's day. My brother's wife was out of town so he ate with us. Brad doesn't like carrot cake, but he loved mine! My carrot cake is yummy, I have to give Marie credit, it's her recipe. My birthday was kind of lame, didn't feel like a birthday, I found out my great grandma, age 99 1/2 passed away the night before. All the cards and presents came after my birthday, so I celebrated all week, which kind of made up for it. Nate gave me stainless steel measuring cups and spoons. My mom gave me a cuisinart grill and I love it!!!! Nate's birthday is like mine ... he doesn't feel like it's his birthday. He got a new outfit from me for Father's day/birthday combined so ... he got that already. But Im making him steak and chocolate covered strawberries! Yum yum. My other brother Julian was in town this weekend which was awesome. Nate's spent that last two days in 12 hours of life insurance classes ... he's becoming a financial planner. Today was the deadline to apply for the business school at BYU so we are hoping to hear soon if Nate got in. I don't have any good pictures to go with this so I just put a cute picture of Joey!

Joey's Latest Developments

Joey is growing up. He isn't walking yet, but he loves to climb. He climbs from our small trampoline on to the piano bench to play the piano. He also likes to climb into laundry baskets and into his toy drawers. He's keeping me on my feet for sure. He love love LOVES to play the piano, you can watch his video ...

We take him swimming a lot and he is slowly liking it more and more. He likes to lounge while he floats. Last week my Aunt DeAnn gave Joey a high chair and he loves it! He likes to eat puffed rice and peas. He also learned how to fly recently!
